Sophie von Bargen is a global apparel design executive with more than 20 years of experience shaping brand vision, building high-performing creative organizations, and developing commercially successful product across women’s, children’s, accessories, and non-apparel categories.
Her career spans luxury and mass retail, with leadership roles at Old Navy, Marc Jacobs, Urban Outfitters, and high-level design positions at Gap and Tommy Hilfiger. Sophie combines creative direction with consumer insight and business strategy, and has led the adoption of AI visualization, 3D design, and enterprise PLM tools to improve product development and speed to market.
Most recently, as Vice President and Head of Women’s Design at Old Navy, she led design for a $3.6 billion business that achieved $140 million in year-over-year growth and $380 million in growth over two years.
